Is the format war really over?

Am I the only one that finds it very ironic that even though the formate war is over, that Bluray is still doing very poorly. Personally I would think this format war should be decided by the people. The way the war was declared over is by big business and not by the consumer. As for what I decide I will continue to buy HD-DVD as long as I can find it for sale. If this means that I have to resort to online purchases so be it. I have no plan to buy the more expensive player just because big business has decided this is the only option they will allow the consumer. We the consuming public should be allowed to decide for ourselves.
